Crowd the causeThis year marks  the 50
th Anniversary of The 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. It is also the 150th Anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. To celebrate this historic moment in time, we have planned a series of commemorative events to take place in our nation’s capital from August 22nd – 26th, 2013. The current schedule is as follows:

  • August 22: Emancipation of Capital Gala being held in the Grand Ballroom in the Convention Center
  • August 23: Kingonomics Entrepreneurship & Investor Conference

As with the 1963 March, there is a relevant cause of addressing poverty, unemployment and the wealth gap in America today. To address these issues, the SCLC have formed the SCLC Poverty Institute Foundation — an educational based non-profit organization.

We encourage you to partner with us on this movement by participating in one of the following ways:become_a_sponsor_btn
